The Bolton Libraries Access Scheme (BLAG)

The Bolton Libraries Access Scheme (BLAG) is a partnership agreement between Bolton PCT, Bolton Hospitals Trust, Bolton University and Bolton Libraries. This scheme aims to improve access to library services for the Bolton Health and Social Care Community. All Bolton NHS and Social Care staff and students including all staff out in the community, independent contractors (dentists, pharmacists, opticians, etc) as well as members of the Bolton Voluntary Organisations (e.g. Bolton Hospice) can join Bolton Libraries and Bolton University for access to their book stock and printed journals. For further details you can pick up the application form from the PCT Library in Bolton Central Library or the Hospital Library at Royal Bolton Hospital.

Literature Searching Training

You can save hours of endless searching if you know how to go about it. 1:1 sessions are offered at the PCT library (see above for contact details) or click Here to find out about training on searching for the evidence run at Bolton Hospital. Health R&D North West also provide training across the north west. Our collection of research guides also offers related advice.
